AT THE END OF CONTRACT OR IN THE EVENT OF BREACH OR TERMINATION

Once you engage an Accredited Certification Body(ACB) for the certification of your system you normally enter into a contract of some sort with the body normally running for a period of up to three years. This is in line with the accreditation requirements as given in ISO 17021. This is why it is very important to make the right decision at the point when you are ready for certification. Once the contract is signed you can only change at the expiry of the contract or when it is terminated or breached for some reason. When termination or beach happens there are some ACBs who are willing to take-over a certification regime in the middle of the term.
